Intensified Search for Missing 18-Year-Old Hanna in Uddevalla Continues

Hanna, an 18-year-old woman, has been missing since January 6, 2026, in Uddevalla, sparking an ongoing and intensive search operation by police, military, and volunteers. Despite extensive efforts, including the use of drones and search dogs, she remains unfound as of January 12.

The police have established a wide search area, particularly focusing on locations such as Kapellevägen, Bratterödsvägen, Sörkällegatan, Timansvägen, and Tureborg. These areas are under scrutiny based on information regarding Hanna's last known whereabouts between 5:00 PM on January 6 and 1:00 PM on January 7. Her clothing, reportedly jeans and a brown sweater, was discovered in a forested area near Uddevalla, prompting intensified searches in the terrain south of the town.

Currently, there is no concrete evidence indicating criminal involvement, and police have not raised suspicion of foul play. However, a preliminary murder investigation has been opened as a precaution to facilitate further inquiries if needed. Commanding officer Martin Öhman emphasized that alternative scenarios concerning Hanna's disappearance are being considered, and the investigation remains active with hopes of finding her alive.

Hanna is known for training in thaiboxing, and her friends from the club have expressed their concern and hope for her safe return, providing support to her family throughout this distressing time.
