Coach Graham Potter expressed worry over Hien's condition, stating, "It looks not very positive at the moment." Hien was replaced by Carl Starfelt from Celta Vigo. In addition, Gabriel Gudmundsson suffered a knee injury but managed to play until the 77th minute before being substituted. Despite his injury, Gudmundsson remained optimistic about his recovery, declaring, "I absolutely believe I will be ready."
