This year’s theme, 'Den lysande naturen' (The Glowing Nature), transforms the park into a magical, illuminated forest featuring imaginative installations that vividly depict natural phenomena such as the northern lights and seasonal weather events.

Visitors can expect to see striking displays, including vertical stone pillars that appear frozen in place until animated by music, captivating audiences with a dynamic light performance. The festival is designed as a family-friendly event, featuring popular activities like torchlight games in the labyrinth and a mini disco for children, enhancing the communal and festive atmosphere.

Project leader Elina Wiman expressed her enthusiasm for continuing the Höstljus tradition, highlighting how each year offers a unique experience for attendees. She specifically praised the mesmerizing 'Stone Pillars' installation as a standout attraction. The event typically draws tens of thousands of visitors, solidifying its reputation as one of Sofiero’s most beloved cultural events.

This year also introduces the opening of the castle’s exhibition floor to visitors during the festival evening hours. Guests can enjoy the warm ambiance created by torches and open fires while sampling culinary offerings from various on-site restaurants.

Tickets are priced at 165 SEK when purchased online and 175 SEK at the gate, with reduced admission for youth and free entry for children under 12, though advance booking remains mandatory. Operating hours are from 16:30 to 21:00 daily. Additionally, parking is available nearby for a fee of 60 SEK.

This striking celebration of nature through light installations continues to enchant visitors, inviting them to experience the magic of autumn evenings at Sofiero Castle Park.
