Hammarby IF Set to Lose Key Players as Transfer Negotiations Advance

Hammarby IF is making critical adjustments as two of its key players, Shaquille Pinas and Jusef Erabi, are on the brink of leaving the club. Both players missed training recently due to ongoing negotiations for their transfers. Pinas is reportedly nearing a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Kholood, while Erabi is drawing interest from English club Millwall and Belgian side Genk. Sportchef Mikael Hjelmberg confirmed that negotiations are in their final stages, indicating that transfers could be completed soon.

To mitigate the loss of Erabi, Hammarby has already brought in Nikola Vasic and is looking to add Obi Okeke for enhanced attacking options. Hjelmberg noted that if Erabi departs, they will not seek to replace him with another forward, stressing the club's commitment to maintain squad integrity after recent poor performances in the Allsvenskan and an exit from European competition.

Despite interest in other players, Hjelmberg stated that Hammarby does not plan to sell anyone else beyond Pinas and Erabi, as they are focused on preserving the team’s morale and energy. The urgency of these negotiations is heightened by the impending closure of the Swedish transfer window.
