Framtidsveckan Engages Swedish Students with Hands-On Tech Experiences

Framtidsveckan, an initiative under Sass supported by Swedbank's Söderhamn foundation, recently connected ten students from Bergvikskolan with local industries to inspire interest in technology and science. Over the week, students participated in hands-on activities like building a miniature EPA vehicle and toured local companies such as Vallviks bruk, Söderhamn Nära, and Rimaster. The program culminated in a visit to the Technical Museum in Stockholm, providing a comprehensive exposure to real-world applications of technical education.

Adam Lundquist, a technology educator in Söderhamn, highlighted the importance of connecting students to local industry opportunities. Hanna Blomqvist from the industrial group observed strong enthusiasm among students, underscoring the program’s potential to link academic subjects like mathematics and science with tangible career paths.

Participants like Natalie Olsson and Floora Simonen expressed excitement about the projects and how these experiences might influence their future studies and career choices.
