In a fiercely contested women's ice hockey match held in Lahti, Finland, the Finnish team, Damlejonen, narrowly defeated Sweden's national team, Damkronorna, with a scoreline of 3-2. The game was part of the Euro Hockey Tour (EHT), serving as a critical buildup event ahead of the Winter Olympics scheduled in two months.

Sweden started strong, taking an early lead within the first two minutes thanks to a goal by Josefin Bouveng.
