Fatal Rescue Operation in Askersund Leads to One Death and Police Investigation

A tragic incident unfolded on Lake Vättern in Askersund where a rescue operation following a missing boat trip resulted in one death. The incident began on Wednesday morning, June 24, 2026, after two individuals went missing during a boat trip that started the previous evening.
