Excitement Builds for the Upcoming Secto Rally Finland

The Secto Rally Finland is poised to kick off as the ninth event of the World Rally Championship (WRC) calendar this weekend, featuring an action-packed schedule and a roster of 66 participating teams. The rally begins with a shakedown test on Thursday morning, and the competitive action will officially start later that day in Jyväskylä.

The schedule includes four double stages on Friday, encompassing nearly 120 kilometers of racing, and the most intense day will carry into Saturday, with another four double stages adding up to a challenging 142 kilometers, including a significant 40-minute service break. The event will culminate on Sunday with the notorious Ouninpohja stage, a robust 23.98 kilometers that will be run twice, commencing at 12:15 Swedish time.

Among the top competitors, Toyota Gazoo Racing will lead with drivers like Elfyn Evans, Sébastien Ogier, and Kalle Rovanperä. Meanwhile, championship leader Ott Tänak drives for Hyundai Motorsport alongside Thierry Neuville and Adrien Fourmaux. In the Rally2 category, rising star Oliver Solberg is set to battle against Yohan Rossel, with Solberg being a prominent title contender. Additionally, Mille Johansson puts his skills to the test in the Junior WRC, as he aims to close a seven-point gap behind current leader Gill Taylor.
