The Together4MH project, supported by the Horizon Europe programme, officially launched on October 13-14, 2026, in Bergen, Norway, aiming to advance mental health support throughout Europe. This ambitious four-year research and development initiative brings together universities, research institutes, public health actors, and workplace representatives from multiple European countries to develop, test, implement, and scale evidence-based mental health methods.
Euro Accident, a Swedish-affiliated insurance company, has been selected as a key partner focusing on practical application in workplace settings. Leveraging its Sustainable Employees® method—designed to improve health, work capacity, quality of life, and resilience through early, coordinated, and individualized interventions—Euro Accident will contribute crucial expertise and real-world experience. The initiative addresses a persistent challenge in mental health care: despite numerous research findings and digital tools, there remains difficulty in translating these resources into effective, widespread practice.
Maria Rylander, Chief Product & Brand Officer at Euro Accident, expressed enthusiasm for joining forces with leading European researchers and experts. She emphasized the collaboration’s importance in sharing workplace experiences, gaining new insights, and ultimately helping more people achieve sustainable mental well-being. Euro Accident aims not only to share knowledge but also to learn and evolve alongside pioneering European innovation environments in mental health.
Key personnel involved include psychologist Fredrik Bengtsson and Tor Levin Hofgaard, who lead the Sustainable Employees® initiative in Norway. The project’s overarching goal is to create scalable, practical mental health toolkits and interventions that can be broadly implemented in workplaces and educational settings, supporting earlier and more effective access to mental health care. Led by Høgskulen på Vestlandet in Norway, Together4MH is poised to strengthen workplace mental health for years to come, fostering healthier work environments and improving quality of life for European workers.
