Eskilstuna Politicians Poised to Enter Swedish Parliament Following Elections

Several local politicians from Eskilstuna are set to transition from city hall to national politics after the recent parliamentary elections. Key figures expected to secure seats in the Swedish Parliament include Mikael Strömberg of the Sweden Democrats (SD), Paul Sabo of the Christian Democrats (KD), Alice Landerholm from the Moderate Party (M), and Maria Forsberg of the Left Party, who previously served on the municipal council. Former municipal councilor Jimmy Jansson of the Social Democrats (S), who stepped away from local politics last autumn, may also continue his political career at the national level.

Strömberg, who has prior experience working for SD in the riksdag, expressed enthusiasm about the move, stating, "I am super eager. It will be fun to take a step over to the other side of politics." Sabo described the opportunity as "very exciting."
