During an SHL match against Brynäs, Linköping player Erik Norén sustained a severe cut on his arm just two minutes into the game, forcing him to leave immediately. Demonstrating visible distress, Norén removed his glove, held his wrist, and struck the plexiglass to signal for help. Medical staff quickly responded, and Norén was rushed directly to the emergency room where he received stitches. Assistant coach Mattias Zackrisson described the injury as “a bit scary” while providing updates on the team’s injury situation.

Linköping managed to secure a strong 7-4 victory over Brynäs despite missing key players Remi Elie and Jakub Vrana due to prior injuries.
