Bus Collision with Loose Horses on E22 at Ekerödsrasten Causes Injury and Traffic Disruption

On Saturday afternoon, November 22, 2025, loose horses on the E22 highway at Ekerödsrasten in Hörby caused a serious traffic incident. Multiple reports alerted authorities of three horses running north on the highway, but they were located in the southbound lane when a bus collided with one of them. The horse involved in the collision did not survive. Police spokesperson Evelina Olsson confirmed that all three horses had been captured and returned to their owner by 6 PM. Traffic was significantly impacted, leading to a complete closure of the southbound lane of E22, with only a reduced-speed single lane open northbound. Authorities do not suspect any criminal activity related to the incident.
