Axel Kouame Joins AIK with Ambitions to Shine in Allsvenskan

Axel Kouame, a talented 21-year-old offensive midfielder from Ivory Coast, has officially signed with Swedish football club AIK. This announcement, made on August 29, 2025, indicates Kouame’s intention to make a significant impact in the Allsvenskan league following an impressive season in Finland’s Veikkausliiga, where he scored four goals and provided nine assists in 21 matches.

AIK's Head of Scouting and Recruitment, Fredrik Wisur Hansen, confirmed the signing, stating the club had been monitoring Kouame for quite some time and believes he will resonate well with the fans.
