Attempted Bombing Linked to Bandidos Motorcycle Gang in Brandbergen

In a significant incident involving the notorious Bandidos motorcycle gang, a 14-year-old boy attempted to detonate a pressure cooker bomb near their club in Brandbergen, south of Stockholm. This attempt, which occurred on December 19, led to the discovery of a bomb containing 1.2 kilograms of dynamite and nails, prompting immediate police intervention.

The incident began when authorities were alerted to a suspicious object, which upon investigation, was identified as a homemade bomb. Following this alarming discovery, legal proceedings were set in motion. A man in his 40s, already serving a 14-year prison sentence for other serious offenses, was convicted of manufacturing the bomb. The court determined that this new conviction wouldn’t extend his current sentence, emphasizing that "Previous sentences should also apply to new criminal activity."

Although the teenager cannot be criminally charged due to his age, the court recognized him as responsible for handling the bomb. Evidence presented included chat messages and video footage documenting his involvement. Additionally, another man involved in the incident was sentenced to six years in prison for serious violations related to explosives and for assisting in the attempted act of public endangerment. Meanwhile, a third man was acquitted of all charges against him.

Despite the serious nature of these allegations, all defendants maintained their innocence throughout the trial process.
