Annual Prom Dress Battle Highlights Inclusivity During Stockholm Pride

The Stockholm Berserkers are set to host their highly anticipated Prom Dress Battle this evening, an event that forms a central part of the Stockholm Pride week festivities. This year marks the competition's return since its inception in 2016, drawing players not only from Sweden but also from around the globe. The event encourages participants to showcase their creativity by donning extravagant outfits, from ball gowns to whimsical bridesmaid dresses, with the motto, "the more boujee, the better."

Taking place at Gubbängsfältet starting at 18:00, the entrance fee is 100 SEK, with half of the proceeds going to the Rainbow Fund, an organization advocating for LGBTQI rights on an international scale. In addition to the match, attendees will have access to food, non-alcoholic drinks, merchandise, and a lottery. Following the event, a pub crawl through the city is planned, particularly popular among participants heading to the annual bear festival.
