16-Year-Old Accomplice in Fagersta School Attack Also Investigated for Independent Murder Plot

A 16-year-old boy detained for aiding in the deadly school attack in Fagersta is also under police investigation for allegedly preparing to carry out a separate attack. Authorities confirmed that, although the teenager had no direct ties to the Fagersta school where the original attack occurred and was not present during the incident, he had communicated with Liam Nebel, the suspected main perpetrator of the Fagersta attack.

The Fagersta attack on August 21 resulted in the death of a 17-year-old girl and injuries to three other students. The accomplice, from the Stockholm area, was arrested a few days following the incident. Police revealed that the suspected independent murder plot was developed between August 19 and 21 in Nacka municipality, near Stockholm.

While court documents do not disclose explicit details of this planned crime, media outlets have reported the teen expressed intentions to conduct a similarly violent school attack. The investigation focuses on murder preparation charges, a serious violation under Swedish law.
